I take no credit for this cocktail whatsoever. This is a gem of a drink found from the revivalistspirits.com. As discussed earlier, I usually make a drink exactly as called for the first time, and then change it up slightly to suit what I have on hand.
While this cocktail calls for Tempus Fugit Gran Classico Bitters, I used #Aperol. IT WAS DELICIOUS! This drink makes me reconsider #Gin as a summer only spirit – I will happily consume this cocktail any time of the year.

I discovered Revivalist Spirits at the Philadelphia Flower Show. While exiting the show, J. and I came across a very crowded, cordoned off area that was very busy. More flowers? Even better. It was an area devoted to drinks!! Spirits mostly as it turned out. Lucky me! We slowly sampled and chatted our way through the booths and stalls and discovered some real winners. One of them was used to make this delightful cocktail.
I also sampled Peony flavored vodka. You heard me… PEONY. FLAVORED. VODKA. Sadly, they were not selling that one at the show but I will be ordering a bottle soon. You can order yours here.
We also met some really lovely people representing caledoniaspirits.com which we already know and love after having discovered it at the Rutland Vermont Farmers Market. A cocktail from them will be making it’s way to the blog very soon.
